Cultural Awareness Training Products

Working together as a community to establish a solid foundation towards independence,
community wellbeing, cultural identity, and healthy Country now and for future generations.

Below are the suite of Cultural Awareness Training programs delivered by Robe River Services:

  • CAT102 – Robe River Kuruma specific: Provides information on local Aboriginal culture and society relevant to your workplace in the Pilbara and aspects of local RRK Aboriginal customs that are to be considered by employees in their workplace. (Currently delivered face to face on some Pilbara RTIO and Mineral Resources sites, combination of Virtual and face to face available for other stakeholders).   • CAT103 – Cultural Competency Program (2 day): This Rio Tinto co-ordinated program place importance on barriers to Cross Cultural Awareness, while building a self-awareness of the participants’ own Cross Cultural Awareness style, skill, and effectiveness. The program explores complex issues related to attitudes and behaviours and the inter-relationship between cultural perspectives and communications barriers.   • CAT104 – RRK Cultural Immersion Experience on Country: Robe will be engaged to run an on-country cultural immersion experience with site leaders on a request for service basis. Cultural education tours will provide site leaders the opportunity to immerse themselves in the culture of the Traditional Owner group through on-country interactive cultural experiences and educational activities.
